American Girl Ruthie

american girl ruthieIf you love the American Girl Kit Kittredge character than allow me to introduce to you Ruthie Smithens.  She is Kit's best friend and she is a caring young girl who is also sympathetic of people around her and dedicated.  The time period is 1934 and the place is Cincinnati where families are still struggling over job losses during the Great Depression.  Since Ruthie is such a compassionate girl she tries to find ways to help Kit's family that is having difficult financial times.
Ruthie was a recent addition to the American Girl collection, being added in 2008.  There are friend characters coming out all the time so stay posted for new arrivals.  Ruthie is part of the Kit collection and is the 14th doll added to this historical section.  There is also a movie about Kit that is out and Ruthie can be seen in it as well.

Ruthie Smithens, 1934

Ruthie Smithen's is one of Kits best friends.
As mentioned before they were great friends and remained that way for as long as it really could be recorded and retold.
For Ruthie, compared to the financial of state of Kits family though her and her family are quite fine really. They had a steady income to say the least as far as I'm concerned. In addition to this, her parents of course did not suffer the way Kits did, like the event of her father losing his job so abruptly and unfairly.

Ruthie Smithen's really idolizes movie stars and just absolutely adores fairy tales. Her infatuation with fairy tales could however very well be possibly due to the wishful thinking that her life too, could be like a fairytale, or already is in her opinion. Never the less, Ruthie is quite the character and time worthy American Girl doll.

She really possesses a lot of generous characteristics and frequently offers to help Kit, but often takes into consideration her friends level of pride and ultimately does not any longer offer such assistance, regardless of if her heart is in the place by doing so in the first place.

Ruthie also happens to be the truly most recent Best Friend doll available and marketed by American Girl to date. Opening this door up for the American Doll Ruthie really is giving her quite the room to become more popular and wanted across the world in good time.

Ruthie also currently possesses a book "Really Truly Ruthie", which is done by the author Valerie Trip, which was set in a late December 1932 and basically displays how Ruthie helped out the Kittredge family and ultimately saved their home from possibly being confiscated/foreclosed. Again, a fine display of generosity, but also an obvious characteristic of common courtesy on Ruthie's part.

Ruthie ultimately was released as part of the Best friends collection on June 1, 2008 with a small collection of additional great items in an anticipation of the new long awaited for movie of hers. Upon arrival of this movie it was definitely not ignored- and was well liked by many according to statistics.

Ruthie is also quite the original American Girl doll. Ruthie really has only original features including the way her face was made, body, eyes, and even the skin tones used to create her one, quality skin tone color.
